CARLTON Ubaezuonu had a penalty saved as the Linnets were beaten by ten-man Spennymoor.
Bradley James denied Ubaezuonu in the first half, and Olly Dyson was sent off for his part in conceding the spot-kick, but it was the visitors who had the last laugh as the prolific Glen Taylor scored the winner.
The defeat was Lynn’s first under new boss Paul Caddis on home soil and the Linnets now face crucial games against Peterborough Sports and Bedford over Easter.
