CARLTON beat Barwell
■ at Stoke Lane thanks to Charlie Carter’s late winner.
The home side had the better of the first half and took the lead a minute before the break when a Jack Thomas cross was flicked on to Nat Watson, who fired home from an acute angle.
Cuba Mitchell equalised early in the second half with a fine drive from the edge of the box.
Visiting goalkeeper Jonathan Brown made excellent saves from Niall Hylton and Dean Freeman but could do nothing to prevent Matt Thornhill putting Carlton back in front with a powerful header.
