BRAINTREE secured a superb home win against league leaders Maidstone United.
Braintree carved out the first clear chance in the 27th minute when George Evans made a fine run down the left wing to find Louie Johnson, whose looped header required a sharp diving catch from Lenny Holden.
Maidstone hit back though with two sharp counter attacks, Riley Court combined with Leone Gravata before dragging his shot just wide of the post. Ryan Hanson then forced George Barrett into a crucial save.
