ALFRETON TOWN have made their second signing of the day, bringing in former Tamworth and Cambridge United defender Michael Wylde.
The 26-year-old started out as a trainee with Football League club Cheltenham Town but his career really kicked off when he joined Tamworth in 2008.
He went on to win the Conference North title with the Lambs in his first season with them and remained a regular member of their squad until joining Cambridge in 2011.
Wylde found first-team opportunities more difficult to come by at the Abbey and was sent on loan to AFC Telford United last season.
He was released by the U’s in January this year and subsequently returned to Tamworth for the final few months of the Conference Premier campaign.
