Silkmen Sell French Defender To Alex

MACCLESFIELD TOWN have sold right-back Thierry Audel to Crewe Alexandra for an undisclosed fee.

Audel arrived at Macclesfield in January this year following a spell playing in Italy for Pisa.

He played in 20 games for the Silkmen and featured in their Fourth Round FA Cup defeat to eventual winners Wigan Athletic, giving away what proved to be the decisive penalty.

The Frenchman has now left Moss Rose and steps up two divisions to join Steve Davis’ Crewe side.
