Ex-Sunderland Keeper Signs For The U’s

Former Sunderland goalkeeper Ben Wilson has joined Cambridge United on non-contract terms.

FORMER Sunderland goalkeeper Ben Wilson has joined Cambridge United on non-contract terms.

The 21-year-old stopper joined Sunderland aged nine and signed a pro deal with the Premier League club in 2010.

He was released by the Black Cats earlier this summer and has now dropped into the Non-League pyramid to sign for the U’s.

Cambridge United begin their Skrill Premier campaign at home to FC Halifax Town this Sunday.
