Wrexham Racecourse

Wrexham (Tuesday, October 8)

There is a real sense of history about the Racecourse Ground and as night falls in North Wales, this famous stadium comes to life under the floodlights.

Aldershot Town (Tuesday, September 17)

Having spent my Sunday and Monday as usual studying The Non-League Paper, the front page headline of ‘AWOL Edgar’ sticks in my mind as I enter the ground – especially with the rain coming down by the bucket load.

Skelmersdale United (Tuesday, September 3)

For a club whose home ground sits on a local industrial estate, it is perhaps fitting that Skelmersdale United boast their own production line. This ground is one I just had to tick off my list.

Cleethorpes Town (Tuesday, July 9)

It’s a very hot day but the need for a football fix is strong. Cleethorpes Town is a team I need to visit in the Northern Counties East League and their friendly against Grimsby Town looks vaguely interesting.

Magdala (Friday, April 19)

This is the first match of the inaugural Notts Senior League Groundhop 2013. Originally, Attenborough were to be our hosts but their clubhouse wasn’t refurbished in time.

Llangefni Town (April 9)

I am taking a birdwatching break on Anglesey with my mates from Naturebites and notice that Llangefni Town are at home on the evening of my arrival: perfect!

Wealdstone (Saturday, February 16)

My driver for the day announces we are off to Wealdstone in the Ryman Premier League on the basis that he recently discovered a ‘drop-dead-gorgeous’ matchday poster on the website and has already printed one off for me. Good friend!

Harrogate Town (Tuesday, January 29)

Harrogate are having terrible problems with their CNG Stadium pitch and are playing a few games at other grounds in order to clear a backlog of fixtures. They haven’t played a home game since December 18!
