WORCESTER CITY fans have released a new song called ‘CityPunk’ as they continue their fight for a return home for the club.

City have been playing at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough ground since 2013 after their St George’s Lane home was sold for redevelopment after 108 years of use.

Thousands of pounds and hundreds of hours have been spent on a detailed planning application for a 4,419 capacity community stadium at Perdiswell, Worcester.

However, Worcester City Council have reservations and told the club before Christmas that they were looking for alternative sites.

With still no news for the disillusioned City supporters, they have taken matters into their own hands and released a song about their situation.

‘CityPunk’ is available to stream and download through BandCamp, with proceeds going towards the “Fighting Fund”: https://citypunk.bandcamp.com/

The song, based on Ewan MacColl’s “Dirty Old Town”, was adapted to the cause following the last minute postponement of the “home” game against Alfreton Town on Saturday, February 6.
