MARTIN DRURY has called on the Bradford Park Avenue fans to help inspire his side to ensure survival.

Avenue beat Ossett Albion 6-2 on Monday to make it three games unbeaten in all competitions and send them through to the West Riding County Cup final.

They also have 12 league games left after a number of postponements left them playing catch up on the rest of the division.

Drury's side are 16th and four points clear of the relegation places ahead of Saturday's game against and the boss is calling on the whole club to pull together for the final few weeks of the season.

“We are now approaching the final quarter of the campaign,” Drury said. “The season so far has been very up and down. We've been left frustrated at times with inconsistencies in performance.

“The amount of postponements we've had since Christmas, through no fault of the club, has also restricted us gaining any momentum and like previous seasons the players have had to deal with numerous rearrangements to match days and training session schedules.

“That being said, the attitude of the players has been superb throughout. They are a good group and they have hurt after defeats and draws from games that could and possibly should have been victories.

“We've sat down as a group this week and gone through our expectations and ambitions as we begin the last 12 league games of the season and the players are determined to fulfil those aims.

“From the loyal older supporters right the way down to the new fresh faced youngsters that we are lucky to have, get behind the team and give them all the belief and encouragement you can because with that we have a far greater chance of succeeding than without it.”

Meanwhile, Avenue winger Jason St Juste has been called up to the St Kitts & Nevis squad for their two matches in the Caribbean Cup against Aruba and Antigue & Barbuda later this month.

The 30-year-old made his Sugar Boyz debut in 2014 and has five caps for his country. He started both of the friendlies against Andorra and Estonia in November.

St Juste joins Sports' Zeph Thomas and Tranmere Rovers' Lois Maynard in the squad, and flies out with them next Tuesday.
