Boston United Borrow Alfreton Town Utility Man Matt Wilson

Boston United have signed Alfreton Town utility man Matt Wilson on loan for three months.

The 25-year-old can play at either centre-back or midfield and has previously represented and .

He has over 150 appearances for Alfreton to his name but was loaned out to by Reds boss Nicky Law towards the end of last season.

Wilson has now left the Impact Arena for another loan stint and Boston boss Jason Lee feels he will be a big benefit to the Lincolnshire outfit.

Lee told the club’s website: “He is a great competitor. We plan to use him in the centre of the park to start with where he should give us good and imposing presence.

“This is a deal I have been chasing all summer. We have had to bide our time to work on things and check his availability.

“He is desperate to play and had offers from other clubs, but has preferred to come here. In the end, I think our patience has paid off.”
