Payne Ends His Holker Street Stay

Shelton Payne has had his contract with Barrow cancelled by mutual consent.

SHELTON PAYNE has had his contract with Barrow cancelled by mutual consent.

The winger joined the Bluebirds from Colwyn Bay on a six-month deal in May but failed to settle at Holker Street.

Meanwhile, Barrow have signed full-back Paul Edwards.

The 33-year-old signed a contract for the 2013/14 season after Saturday’s pre-season 3-2 home defeat to AFC Fylde at the weekend.

Barrow are also expected to complete the signing of FC Halifax Town striker Dale Johnson, who featured on Saturday, on a one-month loan.
