Lions Strengthen With Two Signings

Guiseley have bolstered their squad with the signings of Matt Clarke and Michael Burns.

GUISELEY have bolstered their squad with the signings of Matt Clarke and Michael Burns.

Clarke is a vastly experienced defender with over 300 career appearances to his name.

He started out at Wolverhampton Wanderers and has since represented Halifax Town, Darlington and Bradford City.

The 32-year-old has recently been plying his trade in Malta, playing for Hibernians, Msida Saint-Joseph and Marsaxlokk.

Utility man Burns was re-signed by Guiseley in the summer after spending last season at Vauxhall Motors.

However, he did not feature in former boss Steve Kittrick’s plans and left the club last week.

He has now returned to Nethermoor and goes into the Lions’ squad for their Skrill North game with Bradford Park Avenue next Tuesday.
