ISHMAEL WELSH has been released by Conference South promotion hopefuls .

Winger Welsh – formerly of Yeovil, Grays, Ebbsfleet and , has spent the past year with the Clarets and make over 20 appearances in that time.

However, due to new arrivals at Melbourne Park over the past month, the 25-year-old has been let go of by Clarets boss Glenn Pennyfather.

Pennyfather commented: “Ishmael is a super player and a great man and I’m sure he’ll go on to do elsewhere.

“We’ve brought some players in recently and I can’t, unfortunately, keep hold of everyone.

“Ish has been brilliant for us and I’d like to thank him for all his efforts.”
