FA Trophy third round draw

THE draw for the third round of the FA Trophy was made at Wembley on Monday, and it has thrown up a number of tasty ties.

There is a potential replay of the 2013 Trophy final if Wrexham and Grimsby Town both get through their second round replays.

And there is guaranteed to be at least one Step 2 club in the quarter-finals with Conference North high-flyers North Ferriby set to travel to Maidenhead or Farnborough.

The eight ties will take place on Saturday, January 24 with the winning clubs receiving £7,000 from the FA’s prize fund. Four games stand between the remaining clubs and a trip to Wembley.

2 Braintree Town v Ebbsfleet United

3 Chorley or FC United Of Manchester v AFC Fylde or AFC Telford United

4 Dartford v FC Halifax Town

5 Maidenhead United or Farnborough v North Ferriby United

6 Hemel Hempstead Town v Torquay United

7 Bath City v Altrincham

8 Oxford City or Woking v Dover Athletic
