Fantasy Non-League update – 21st October 2017

Welcome to the latest update of Fantasy Non-League. Today’s update covers the period Sunday 15th October 2017 through to Saturday 21st October 2017.
Through the FNL Helpdesk I have received a complaint. I have e-mailed the person back with an explanation and I hope he is happy with my answer though I haven’t heard back from him. Some of his complaint was about his own teams but there was also a general FNL question. On the first FNL league table back on Saturday 2nd September 2017 we had 1,494 players. Of course, the entry deadline had passed and today if you look at the FNL Main Table you will see that we have 1,503 players.
Now in years gone past we have normally picked up an extra 2 or 3 players after the deadline. The problem this season was to do with the on-line entry system. Ninety-nine per cent of the entries went through with no problem but a small number didn’t.
This was happening all the way through July and August. Then after the deadline I received a number of e-mails claiming they couldn’t find their teams. After some investigation it became clear their on-line entries hadn’t reached me. So, I asked them to send me their list of teams and I would enter them. Once I received them I checked their team choices and I can assure you all these teams were not picked after the deadline. The reason I know this is because some of the teams they had picked were not doing very well.
