Alfreton Town back Prostate Cancer UK this Non-League Day

Alfreton Town are backing Prostate Cancer UK this Non-League Day as they team up for the fourth consecutive campaign.
Once again, Prostate Cancer UK are the day's official charity partner, and Alfreton, like many other clubs, have signed up to lend their backing.
The annual event takes place on Saturday, October 7th, as Premier League and Championship clubs take a weekend off for the international break – and fans across the country are encouraged to support their local Non-League team, and a fantastic charitable cause.
James Doe, founder of Non-League Day said: “Prostate Cancer UK's work across football goes from strength to strength but the statistics about the disease are still chilling. One man dies every 45 minutes so more than ever we need to raise awareness and funds to hit back.
“Reaching supporters, players and officials at all levels of our national game is massively important to changing this, and we hope that non-league clubs and their supporters will also adopt Prostate Cancer UK as a charity for the day and host themed events or fundraising activities.”
Alfreton welcome Chorley to the Impact Arena on Saturday, with the Reds expecting a bumper crowd and hoping to raise money and awareness for charity.
Manager John McDermott will be sporting the Prostate Cancer UK Man of Men pin badge, as will the Reds coaching staff.

Other Reds staff will also sport the badge and the club is encouraging as many fans as possible to donate, as the Impact Arena comes together to support the fight against Prostate Cancer on Non League Day.

“The money raised by clubs and their fantastic fans will fund ground-breaking research to help fight the disease. That will help us provide dedicated support and information to men and their families affected by this disease.
