Eastleigh manager Richard Hill has hit back at the club's fans, saying they should look at their own performance before criticising the team.
The Spitfires slumped to their seventh defeat of the season on Saturday when they lost 2-0 at home to Barrow – and they now languish 18th in the National League.
The Eastleigh fans responded to the disappointing loss by booing the players off the pitch at full-time, and Hill was not impressed.
The former Whitehawk manager told Radio Solent: “I'm not sure how productive it is them booing at the end of a game. But, they're entitled to their opinion.”
Eastleigh's third league defeat in five game followed last month's exit from the FA Cup, and while Hill acknowledges his side haven't been good enough in recent weeks, he has suggested the fans haven't either.
“They'll (supporters) always point the finger at our performances and rightly so, but sometimes supporters have to look at their performance,” said the 54-year-old.
“I can pick a few games out this season where their performance wasn't particularly good.”
