Swifts made it two in the 18th minute as Lewis Godbold stroked home from close range but Hampton were handed a huge boost before half-time when Max Kretzschmar's shot crept in past goalkeeper Danny Sambridge.
Kretzschmar then netted the equaliser from the penalty spot in the 58th minute after being pushed by Sambridge as the tie turned completely on its head.
But just five minutes later, Heybridge regained the lead through Godbold's second and having been somewhat the villain earlier in the match, goalkeeper Sambridge saved Kretzschmar's late penalty to send Swifts through.
