We're down to the business end of the season across the National League where that dreaded word ‘permutations' plays on the mind of fans up and down the country. Several teams will be anxiously waiting on the ‘p' factor to determine whether it's agony or ecstasy come Saturday evening.

National League
Saturday could be a day to remember for Macclesfield as they bid to reclaim Football League status for the first time since 2012.
The Silkmen take on a revitalised Leyton Orient side at lunchtime on Saturday, and a win for the league leaders still won't be quite enough to rubber-stamp promotion. Even if they take all three points, John Askey's side will have to sit tight and wait for Tranmere's result later that afternoon.
Orient will be no pushovers, but Macclesfield have a golden opportunity to (almost) complete the job with their opponents now comfortably rooted in mid-table. Any victory, however narrow, should be enough to effectively seal a well-deserved title.

At the other end of the table, Solihull Moors have an irresistible chance to move one step closer to securing another season at this level against rock-bottom Guiseley. After a spate of postponements, the Yorkshire-based side are still hanging onto their National League status by a thread due to games in hand, with Chester FC becoming the first club to fall through the relegation trap door last week.
Moors have shown impressive backbone in steering clear of the relegation places in recent weeks, winning their last two games 1-0 and going seven unbeaten. Mark Yates' side could finally put The Lions out of their misery this weekend.

National League North
The ding-dong battle at the top of the National League North shows no sign of abating with Harrogate Town still clinging on to Salford City's coattails as they chase down the one automatic promotion place, looking to close a three-point gap.
Town go up against a Southport side still reeling from three straight league defeats, and Simon Weaver will be hoping that run continues as his team aim to keep the pressure on the league leaders. Kevin Davies' side will simply be looking to retrieve the free-scoring form that ignited a brief flirtation with the play off places only last month.

National League South
In National League South, Truro City will be looking to consolidate their position in the play offs as they head to a Chippenham Town side already with one eye on next season.
City bounced back from last weekend's surprise 2-1 home defeat to East Thurrock with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Concord Rangers on Tuesday night. A repeat in Wiltshire on Saturday would see Lee Hodges' side plant one foot firmly in the end of season play-off shake-up.
