“Disappointed” Beadle admits key players could leave Hereford

Hereford manager Peter Beadle has expressed his disappointment at the club’s budget for the forthcoming season and has admitted that it may force key players towards the exit door at Edgar Street this summer.
Beadle told the Hereford Times, “I’m disappointed with the budget as there is very little to reward the players who have won promotion with us. It’s what we have to work with and we can’t sacrifice the team for one or two players. If we give them extra then we have got to take money from other places.”
It is understood that the club have so far failed to agree new contracts with John Mills, Ryan Green and Pablo Haysham, whose deals are set to expire this summer.
Beadle continued, “What they’re asking for isn’t massively unreasonable for what they have achieved but we just can’t meet it with our budget.
“It’s now a waiting game to see what they decide to do. It’s not ideal for me as I want the three of them here but my hands of tied.”
Hereford achieved their third straight promotion this season as they raced to the Southern Premier Division title, finishing 13 points ahead of second-placed Kings Lynn Town.
