It’s been a busy start to the week for managers in Essex with two clubs announcing new bosses since the weekend.
Bostik Division One North side Tilbury have acted quickly replacing Joe Keith as manager.
Former Basildon United boss Marc Harrison has been appointed first team manager at the Dockers, with Liam Wallace as his assistant.
The pair are no strangers to Tilbury after managing the Under 16s two years ago and have since enjoyed great success with Basildon, taking them out of the Essex Senior League last season into the Bostik North.
There, they will be replaced by Michael Walther, who has been appointed as Basildon’s new joint-manager alongside Lee Connor.
Connor was in caretaker charge of the Bees for Saturday’s goalless draw at AFC Sudbury.
But Basildon have confirmed Walther, who has left the top job at Barkingside, will now work alongside Connor in the dugout.
On his new appointment, Connor will step down as chairman of the club with David Maxwell taking over.
Kevin Christou and Curtis Whyte have been installed as assistant manager and first team coach respectively.
