Rob Smith has resigned as Hednesford Town manager to be come Halesowen Town’s new boss.

John Hill and his assistant Matt Clarke left the Yeltz last week after six years in charge.

Smith has previously managed at AFC Telford, where they won promotion to the Conference North in 2007 and then reached two play-off finals, and will be joined by his assistant from Hednesford, Larry Chambers.

“Their record speaks for itself and with Rob playing for the clubs previously, they fully understand the history and fabric of what we are all about and hope the fans get right behind them as we start to build a new era and hopefully move up the table.”
