Zak Ansah joins new club

Zak Ansah

After leaving Hythe Town, prolific Step 4 striker Zak Ansah has completed a move to the Cannons’ BetVictor South East rivals Herne Bay.
The former Arsenal youngster arrives at the Kent club with a formidable scoring record having found the net 51 times in 61 appearances for Hythe over a two year period.
Ansah has previously represented England at youth level before switching his allegiances to Ghana, where he was called up to the provisional squad for the 2013 U-20 World Cup.
After coming through the academy structure at the Gunners, the striker was named on the bench for the club’s Champions League group stage game against Olympiacos,in 2012.
The front man left Arsenal in 2014 to join Chris Powell’s Charlton side, where he enjoyed loan spells in the EFL with the likes of Plymouth Argyle and Newport County.
Following his departure from the Addicks in 2016, Ansah moved on to Woking before dropping into Sunday League football to regain his fitness.
After two years with Hythe, Ansah was released by the Cannons at the end of the most recent season as he still wanted to play football for the increasingly popular YouTube Sunday League side SE Dons, who have amassed an increasingly loyal social media following.
