JIM COOPER came out of retirement for one game only – and guided East Thurrock United to a shock victory.
Boss Paul Martin stepped down last weekend following the Rocks’ ninth defeat in the Isthmian League Premier.
It left East Thurrock rudderless for their Tuesday-night fixture at home to high-flying Lewes, but Met Police legend Cooper, who retired in August leaving Grays Athletic top of Isthmian North, stepped in to take charge with Warren Fenton.
