SHAUN Densmore arrived at Altrincham in 2008 on a one-month contract. Fourteen years and 445 games later, the 33-yearold is a bona-fide club legend.
And whilst nagging foot issues unfortunately mean Alty fans have seen the last of their rampaging right-back, Densmore’s recent retirement has left him free to reflect on an incredible career.
Here, ‘Dens’ recounts his early days at Everton, getting roasted by a Bolton cult hero – and why you should never sleep late if you’re on trial at Alty!
