INCIDENT: Radcliffe FC’s Neuven Stadium

POLICE are investigating an incident in which flares were thrown into Bury AFC’s ground, striking a 12-year-old girl and a home player, during the Shakers’ FA Cup clash with North Shields last Saturday.
A group of protestors who had gathered outside Radcliffe FC’s Neuven Stadium, which Bury AFC share, were reported to have hurled the flares into the ground.
The game, which Bury won 2-1, was being broadcast live on the BBC who were forced to pause the coverage during the protests.
