TALISMANIC midfielder Greg Olley has admitted he ‘owes a lot’ to outgoing Heed boss Mike Williamson.
Williamson took charge at Gateshead in the summer of 2019 as the club reeled from an enforced relegation into the National League North as a result of financial irregularities under their previous owners.
After building a squad from scratch, the former Newcastle United defender went on to lead the Tynesiders to the National League North title, a first major Wembley cup final with last season’s FA Trophy Final defeat against FC Halifax Town and to four visits to the ‘proper’ rounds of the FA...
