SATURDAY’S Isuzu FA Trophy Fourth Round tie between Oldham Athletic and Hendon has really captured my imagination.
A former Premier League outfit entertaining the Non-League team I passionately supported as a youngster.
I was a regular on the terraces at my local club Hendon throughout the 1970’s, growing up in Golders Green. That is how my burning love for Non-League football began. But I subsequently lost touch with events at the famous old Claremont Road ground once my family moved away from the immediate area.
