CHAIRMAN Jamie Sharp says handing John Hughes the manager’s job at Saffron Walden Town on a permanent basis was “an easy decision to make” following a successful caretaker spell.
Hughes arrived at Catons Lane as Dan Spinks’ assistant in the summer and stepped up to take the hotseat after the FA Vase winning boss with Romford opted to take time out for personal reasons.
