TOWN TAKE LEAP IN CLUB HISTORY

CAMBERLEY Town have paid homage to their proud history in launching their new club crest – inspired by a racehorse from over 100 years ago!
Club archives suggest the name of their Krooner Park home derives from a four-year-old race horse called Krooner who, on Friday July 9, 1920, won the 2.20pm at Haydock Park by a length-and-ahalf, at a price of 6/1.
Owner Mr Ferdinand W. Baker donated all of the winnings to the club to help it purchase a ground and two years on, the aptly named Krooner Park opened its doors for its first game when Camberley hosted Egham Town.
