LICHFIELD City manager Ivor Green is delighted to be plying his trade at Step 4 – and says an unexpected divisional switch has given the club a lift, writes OLLY FOSTER.
The Staffordshire side won promotion to the Northern Premier League for the first time in their history last season after Green led his side to the Midland League title.
“It was the best season the club has ever had,” reflected the 50-year-old, who has led City from the depths of Step 6 in his five years in charge.
