FORMER Slough Town joint-boss Jon Underwood agrees the National League South is the toughest it’s ever been – and that’s why he’s so happy to be part of it.
Underwood joined Enfield Town as manager Gav Macpherson’s assistant earlier this summer having left Bracknell Town towards the end of last season.
Top boss Macpherson guided the Towners to Step 2 safety last season following their promotion from the Isthmian Premier.
With assistant Jon Nurse taking on a new head of football operations role at the fan-owned outfit, Macpherson was in the market for a new No.2.
