FANS MOURN LEGENDARY CAPTAIN ROD

FORMER England Amateurs captain Rod Haider has died at the age of 82.
Haider, a popular figure at both Hendon and Kingstonian, will go down in history as the most-capped Amateur international with 65.
After turning out for Wokingham Town, Woking and Kingstonian, Haider signed for Hendon in 1967 and stayed at Claremont Road for 12 seasons, winning pretty much every available club honour.
He was captain when the Greens won the Amateur Cup in 1972, the Isthmian League in 1973, and their famous 1–1 draw with Newcastle United in the FA Cup in 1975.
