FRANK SINCLAIR has departed National League North side Hednesford Town for the second time in six weeks.

The former Jamaica and Chelsea defender, who took over at Keys Park in December, briefly left the club in March following the 3-0 defeat at Stockport County but he returned a day later after talks with chairman Steve Price.

However, he has left for a second time following Tuesday night’s 1-0 home defeat to Worcester City. That defeat left them six points adrift of safety with just three games left to play.

Earlier this week, the ex-Colwyn Bay boss outlined his desire to remain with the Pitmen even if they did suffer relegation.

Despite that, the club confirmed on Thursday evening that Sinclair and assistant Chris Millington had departed ahead of Saturday’s trip to champions Solihull Moors.

A statement read: “Hednesford Town Football Club and the management team of Frank Sinclair and Chris Millington have this evening parted company by mutual consent.

“The Pitmen now look to concentrate on Saturday’s game against Solihull Moors in the National League North.”
