NLP’s National League and FA Trophy Team of the Day February 28

NANTWICH TOWN and Bognor Regis Town both featured heavily in our Team of the Day after both clubs caused upsets to make it through to the FA Trophy semi-finals.

The Dabbers had defender Andy White and midfielder Josh Hancock in our team while Phil Parkinson was named our Top Boss after their last-gasp win against Dover Athletic.

Bognor saw keeper Grant Smith, scorer Snorre Nilsen and striker Ollie Pearce get the call for our side following their 1-0 victory over National League side Torquay United.

Hamza Bencherif helped FC Halifax keep a clean sheet against Gateshead in their Trophy quarter-final and was handed a shirt, as well as two-goal Nathan Arnold who helped send Grimsby Town through to the last four.

Boreham Wood picked up a big 3-0 win at Southport in the National League to climb out of the relegation places and scorers David Stephens and Luke Howell were picked by us.

Joe Anderson netted Bromley’s winner at Kidderminster and Jordan Williams scored Barrow’s late equaliser against Forest Green to ensure their places.
