NLP’s National League and FA Trophy Team of the Day March 20

BRAINTREE TOWN picked up a massive 1-0 win on Saturday and dented Cheltenham’s title charge in the process, making Danny Cowley our Top Boss.

Tranmere Rovers fought back to deny Forest Green Rovers top spot in the National League and defender Steve McNulty was placed into our back three alongside Braintree’s Mark Phillips and Sami El Abd of Bognor Regis.

The Rocks may have fallen at the FA Trophy semi-finals but they gave Grimsby a real test with two goal Padraig Amond placed up front with Kidderminster’s hero James McQuilkin and Torquay’s Nathan Blissett.

Matty Kosylo made it into our midfield for the second week running as Nantwich ran Halifax close in the other Trophy semi. Altrincham ace Josh Ginnelly, Paddy McLaughlin of Gateshead and Dover’s Nicky Deverdics were put alongside him.

FC Halifax will meet Grimsby in the FA Trophy final and Shaymen keeper Sam Johnson was chosen as our top stopper.
