■ CRAIG Macallister’s second-half goal was enough to send Lymington through.
The experienced striker turned and shot inside the box to beat keeper Seedhouse-Evans with an effort which nestled in the corner.
Lymington had started the game brightly with Dom Thelan shooting wide, but Barnstaple also had their chances with Tyler Yendle having a shot blocked and new signing Owen Pritchard heading a Brian Levein cross wide. Barnstaple had several corners but any danger was averted by Tim Stephenson in the visiting defence.
