The Axe falls on Greens’ cup jaunt

A GOAL just past the hour mark was enough to see Lancaster through after a tense game against 1874 Northwich at Giant Axe.
Lancaster got off to a positive start and came close to opening the scoring when a good move resulted in the ball reaching Liam Brockbank, whose driven shot was well saved.
Paul Dawson headed wide from a corner, before Tom Kilifin had a great chance to open the scoring for Lancaster after 19 minutes when he was through, but shot straight at Tony Aghayere, who made the save.
