NEIL Kengni’s first-half strike was enought to book Macclesfield’s place in the second qualifying round of the FA Cuip as they overcame the stubborn resistance of West Didsbury & Chorlton. The North West Counties League hosts started brightly in front of a sellout crowd at Brookburn Road but trailed at the break to Kengni’s closerange finish on 34 minutes and were unable to find a way back into the game.
