TAUNTON keeper Jack Bycroft’s added-time penalty save ensured that there were no fairytales at The Cygnet Health Care Stadium for Laverstock & Ford.
Birthday boy Ross Stearn’s early goal separated the sides in normal time. But they needed Bycroft’s heroics to avoid a tricky midweek replay.
Stearn got on the scoresheet when a fourth-minute corner fell to his feet and he poked the Peacocks ahead.
Stearn then had a shot blocked as the hosts threatened to seal the tie early.
