AJONG’S ON SONG FOR BLUES WITH CUP CAMEO

LAWRENCE Ajong was the hero for Hertford Town as they took their place in the FA Cup second qualifying round for the first time since 2017 with victory over Bowers & Pitsea at The Len Salmon Stadium.
Bowers started the better of the two Step 4 sides with Michael Faulkner forcing Hertford keeper James Callan into a save in the first minute before the two sides settled into a more even affair.
Joe Nardelli tested Joe Whitney before Scales drew a save from Callan as the first half petered out.
