HEBBURN TOWN’S FA Cup journey came to an end after a spirited display at National League North side Curzon Ashton, who ran out 4-1 winners.
The tie began in difficult fashion for the Hornets as Curzon were awarded a penalty inside four minutes, Tony Weston converting to give the hosts an early lead. Despite Hebburn creating chances through Olly Martin and Wood, Curzon doubled their advantage on 26 minutes when Jack Barton rifled home a half-volley from inside the box.
