Jack’s the lad as Hyde edge past Matlock

A SINGLE goal from Jack Redshaw was enough to send Hyde into the draw for the fourth qualifying round following a feisty encounter which saw seven yellow cards and one red issued.
The opening half-hour was cagey with neither goalkeeper tested. Matlock’s star forward Conor Washington came closest with a volley over the bar from the edge of the area but the away side lost their impetus when he was replaced due to an injury and United finished the half the stronger side.
