Gateshead manager Alun Armstrong revealed that a difficult summer for the club made victory all the sweeter after full-time.
Kain Adom and Fenton John scored as the Heed stunned League One promotion hopefuls AFC Wimbledon.
And boss Armstrong reflected on a day to savour – especially after a tumultuous summer at the National League outfit.
