■JOSH Kelly’s tenth goal of the season and a brace from Lartey Sarpong sealed a comfortable win for the Stags.
After a tight opening which saw keeper Denzel Gerrar make several excellent saves, the Islanders paid for frail defending.
Coming close with an early header, Kelly struck the opener in the 45th minute with a tidy finish into the bottom corner.
Sarpong doubled the lead nine minutes into the second half with a clever chip over Henry Newcombe, and rounded off proceedings with a cool strike on the hour mark as Canvey struggled.
