Hatters hold off Spartans

STOCKPORT County eventually saw off battling Blyth Spartans in an entertaining affair at Edgeley Park.
County had a hatful of chances in the early stages, the best of which fell to Frank Mulhern who had his shot well saved by a busy Zac Hemming.
The home side broke the deadlock when Tom Walker floated a delightful in-swinging free kic into the penalty area and Ash Palmer nodded home.
Blyth finished the first period strongly and levelled proceedings before the break.
