CARSHALTON’S Trophy dreams were salvaged by Paris Hamilton- Downes’ late penalty as Aveley threw away a three-goal lead.
The scoring also started from the spot as the Millers took a 15th minute lead with Firmin Ngandu’s strike from 12 yards.
Three minutes later, Harry Gibbs deftly swept home a corner to double Aveley’s lead.
