Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves

I WAS surprised to read Jim Gannon’s take on the situation at Stockport County (NLP, Dec 15), particularly the fact that we are still a semi-professional organisation.
Edgeley Park is surely now the prime example of a well managed and properly functioning lower league football club.
Jim is Mr Stockport County, it is in his blood. However, surely he must remember that his previous tenancies as manager have been sorely afflicted by events off the field. Profligate spending and misplaced trust of financial speculators etc, all contributed...
