Dowson’s brace turns the tables

WEST Auckland were the only north east side with home advantage in the FA Vase and they made it count – but only just.
Visitors Yorkshire Amateur were heading for victory until West super sub David Dowson intervened, scoring twice in the final 10 minutes to turn the tables.
Both sides had good openings in and end-to-end first half in County Durham.
The Ammers almost took a first minute lead after Harrison Blakey won the ball in midfield. He slipped the ball to Ashley Flynn, who dragged his shot wide.
