The wonder of Wembley can alter the hearts and minds of the best of men – just ask Romford boss Dan Spinks.
He began the week with promotion top of his priority list but headed to Wembley on the back of defeat in the Essex Senior League play-off final, losing the league cup final just two days later.
However, a first look around the home of football quickly banished those memories as attention turned to an FA Vase showpiece that was, in truth, won at a canter against league rivals Great Wakering Rovers.
